Global Change Seminar Series
The Department of Geography and the Environment will host the “Global Change Seminar Series” in the spring of 2011. Speakers from Villanova University, University of Pennsylvania and the Academy of Natural Sciences will address the broad topic of global change in this semester-long seminar series. Topics include drilling in the Marcellus shale, the role of peatlands in global carbon cycling, biodiversity and climate change, coastal wetlands and sea-level rise, changing oceanic biogeochemistry, and the promise of green science in industry. Join us on select Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30 in Mendel 256 to learn about our changing world. The Global Change Seminar Series is open to all interested students, faculty and staff.
