March 2011 E-news From the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

Dear Friends of the College,

Welcome to the March 2011 e-newsletter for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Inside A&S. I hope that you had a wonderful spring break and have returned to campus refreshed, renewed, and reenergized to seize the eight weeks that remain in the term.

I am pleased to share with you several important updates as we look forward to spring. The Office for Undergraduate Students, which officially has moved to the first floor of SAC in Suite 107, presents "Workplace Wednesdays," a series of workshops dedicated to increasing workplace and professional knowledge. All are welcome to join in the conversations. Be sure to RSVP here, and visit this Web site for workshop topics, dates, and times.

In addition, two academic departments in the College will celebrate important anniversaries. Both the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and the Department of Psychology celebrate their 50th anniversaries this year. Many special events will take place to mark the occasions, and you'll read about some of them here in Inside A&S.
